Echandia Ultra

Efficient supercharging capabilities

For operators with high demands

Echandia Ultra is an air-cooled battery energy storage system certified for maritime operations. The batteries' LTO chemistry enables extremely long cycle life, high charge and discharge rates, and exceptional thermal stability, making it particularly well suited for vessels with demanding operative profiles.

Echandia Ultra offers fast charging, consistent performance over time, and safe operation without the need for complex liquid cooling, contributing to lower system complexity and reduced lifetime cost.

Ultra Lightweight

Up to 50% lighter and significantly smaller than alternatives.

Extreme Longevity

30,000+ charge cycles with minimal aging.

Fast Charging

Market-leading fast-charging with superior power capability.

Modular Scalability

Modular architecture for simple installation and future scalability.

Redundancy in every critical function

Intelligent architecture ensures your vessel keeps running even if a fault occurs. Redundancy is built into all critical systems and all components are selected for long life and reliability in harsh marine environments.

Smaller. Lighter. More Efficient.

Traditional systems must stay around 80% State of Charge (SoC) to avoid degradation. Echandia Ultra allows operators to use almost every installed MWh without risking damage. With our battery system's extremely long cycle life, there is no need to oversize the system to compensate for early loss of capacity. This means more usable capacity in a smaller footprint.

Fit for any vessel type

Our systems are trusted across the full spectrum of maritime operations, from ferries, RoRo and RoPax to navy, workboats, offshore vessels, cruise ships, and various merchant vessels. Built for both full electric and hybrid propulsion, they are powerful enough to serve as a primary energy source while also enabling spinning reserve, peak shaving, backup power (UPS), and load leveling.

Configuration

High power, repeatedly

For vessels that need instant power, repeatedly. Tailored for operations requiring high power output and frequent cycling with more than seven cycles per day. Ideal for ferries and hybrid marine applications needing short bursts of power.

  • Spinning reserve
  • Peak shaving
  • Load leveling
  • UPS
